I just wanted to update my journal - the last one was a little depressing.

Things are going well.  I now have a new nephew who is home with his parents and doing well.  My job is busy but rewarding.  

I've been working on my drawing and trying to keep up with the .  I'm only a few days behing on the drawing but months behind on scanning and posting.  I also participated in the Kickstarter campaign for HIFI Color - hope to get better on my coloring once I get this book.    Mnay, many pictures on my harddrive that need to be colored.  I've debated on just posting them as is and trying to color the new ones so I can get caught up.  

I've been seeing all the hype about Frozen - still have to watch it.  I received it in the mail on the same day as Saving Mr Banks - and that was the one I watched.  I enjoyed Mr Banks - but found it rather sad.  

I did see the Croods due to my mother's recommendation.  It was a really good movie - different from what I thought it would be.  Good animation (beautiful at times), sometimes really silly and it had a good story.  

(I tried posting and updated journal earlier and the computer ate it - if it posts twice - I'm really sorry).

I've been spending time on my pencil and ink drawings, have many to scan in and even more to color.  Still debating on what I should post - I probably have over 100 pending pictures.  I really enjoy the earlier part of the process - but coloring via computer is still very much a challenge.  Also, pencil and paper can follow me anywhere - the computer not so much.  I was part of the Kickstarter campaign for Hi Fi Color for Comics.  Hoping this book will help with my digital coloring once it comes out.  

Just saw the Croods, really enjoyed this movie.  Not at all what I was expecting.  Very beautiful in parts, super silly in others and a good message overall.   Still have to see Frozen - I got it and Saving Mr Banks on the same day - watched Mr Banks.  I liked it but found it somewhat sad.
